1995 Acura Integra 2 door

So i just installed 4 6.5 pioneer speakers. First of all the radio used to work, it isnt really installed properly in the first place. I can take out the whole unit and in like nothing. So i go to install these speakers today...they worked when i checked them, but when i slid the radio into the sleeve something shorted.


So now my radio doesnt get power, nor does my clock! Could anyone please direct me towards the light.

A) Checked all fuses in the car, good.
B) Checked fuse on the radio itself, good.

Any help would be great

 

When a fuse blows, it blows for a reason. Simply replacing the fuse does not solve the problem. Find what "shorted" and wire it/insulate it properly.

Checking a fuse visually can tell you if it's bad, but it can't confirm that it's good. It needs to be verified with a multimeter.

You didn't check the fuses under the hood. The 7.5a backup fuse is most likely the one you're looking for. Fix the problem first, then replace the fuse with the same rating.

 

I agree with the above, it's the backup fuse, [clock also not working] that is the yellow wire into the HU and white with yellow or blue tracer in cars radio harness.

Also what is the make and model of the HU, what size is the HUs fuse?

If the HU is not mounted properly, you will run into problems like skipping and premature misalignment of the lens.

Was a kit and adapter harness used to install the HU? 94

 

thanks alot for the help everyone, i taped off everything in there interior. Looked under the hood at the fuses and sure nuff the BACKUP fuse was blown.
