this may be stoopid but i have to ask, is it possible to put the cam alone, from a d16y7 on a d15b2. . . or do i need to swap the complete head? and if possible, what gains may be expected? ideally would like just the cam, and then would need to use vx belt? any help appreciated, searched with no results. . .

Where did you get the idea you need to swap belts if you replace the camshaft?

 

reading around, on HT about other swaps done, i am not ready to do a compete swap, but have a y7 head laying here with no use to me, or so it seems. . . .just wondering if i can use the cam to give me a lil bit extra whether it be gas mileage or power . . .
