balance shaft belt. not absolutely necessary, but removal will cause a little more vibration.
nothing you can't stand, though, i have no problems with it off.

nope don't need it. if the motor is out get the balance shaft eliminator kit. Alot of diff companies sell it, don't be fooled and pay extra for "bling"
