2001 Honda Accord V4 Single Exhaust to Dual Exhaust
I currently have a 2001 Honda Accord(EX 4cyl. 4dr SOHC VTEC) and I was thinking about converting my single exhaust to a dual exhaust. I did some research on this subject, but I guess there's a lot of work that must be done in order for it to work
. Some people were talking about a certain amount of restriction needed in order for the exhaust to function properly, and others were talking about increasing the air intake to account for the increased air-volume out of the exhaust. I just assumed it was like an algebra problem. "If you do something to one side, you must to the same thing to the other side". I have an aftermarket cold air-intake already installed
, so I'm sure the amount of air won't be as restricted compared to the stock intake, but I'm not sure how to approach this
. I just thought that I could just take the back section of my exhaust out, cut the mounting surface off, and weld dual pipes to it with two performance mufflers.

Just to prevent you from any other flame by other Honda-Tech members, Its inline 4 or I4. Honda doesn't make a V4 type engine for the cars.
Anyways, I really wanted to do this to my 01 Accord. Looks so much better and more even..
