Default Noob needs help installing external wastegate to manifold

Can anyone help me out with this?

I mock it up using the thick metal bracket & gasket but then the screws are no way long enough to secure it to the manifold.

Are these metal bracket parts essential or can i just use the thin gasket and bolt it direct to the manifold?

I know im doing something wrong so if someone could help me out?

Thanks

you can go to the local hardware store and get longer screws if needed. i believe they're M8 and the pitch is fine 1.25

are you talking about the spare flanges that are meant for your dumptube and the other meant to be welded onto manifolds without an external wastegate flange? because all you need is the gasket to bolt the wastegate on.

ok, your going to have to buy 2 bolts and 2 nuts to install the wastegate to the manifold (flange on the manifold doesn't look threaded). You will just need a gasket if even that; I don't use a gasket on mine.
