Accord carb ?? any honda techs remember these old things?
Hi,
I need some help. I buy and sell cars as well as being a full time mechanic. I have a 87 Accord with the 2.0 2BBl carb. The two felt seals around the throttle shaft were leaking vaccume. I removed the carb and pulled the seals out. I ordered an aftermarket rebuild kit but it didn't come with the seals. Next I had the dealer fax me a breakdown of the carb to see if the seals would come in the factory rebuild kit. The diagram didn't show the throttle plate ***. in pieces so I don't know if they come in the kit. I then ordered a second kit from Nappa but that one didn't have them either. Since I can't return the kit from the dealer I havent tried that one yet. Can anyone here tell me if the seals I need come in the kit from the dealer or how I could get them? I don't have enough room ($$$) to buy a new carb and still make any money. If anyone can help can you please ither post here or mail me at jim42macia@hotmail.com
Thanks,
MIKE
PS you the funny thing about this is, a few month ago the other tech in our shop rebuilt one of these and the kit he got had the seals in it. I have tried to find the ticket from the parts store to get the part number for this kit and it seems to be missing. LOL

I got the first kit from them and the seals were not in the kit. Thats why I tried to find the ticket with the P/N. I think they might have sent me a different brand.
