I have a 00 SI with the stock alarm it came with. I want to upgrade it to maybe a compustar since it has the autostart for manual cars, my question is where is the stock alarm located and will the wires already kooked up to the stock alarm make it easier to install the new one? thanks.

Sure it'll make it easier to install the new one... It'll make it a whole lot easier to steal, too when the thief sees the bundle of wires going into the factory alarm harness....

i didn't say i was going to install it in the same place, you can always add more wire and re-route wire .

Stock alarm is located to the right of steering column, but not all connections can be made there.
