i have an 88 accord lx. i was wondering how common pop-up headlight problems are. they're not vacuum so why should they malfunction? maybe the motors are going bad?

Motor starting to go bad can work randomly.. sometimes goes up.... and sometimes may not want to come down or vice-versa.
The motors on these applications aren't difficult to be replaced, but you might want to remove it and check it.... 20 years of existance could have it got dirt, dust....
Give it a little maintainance and see what's up.

someone must have hit my car because the headlight was smashed in alittle us could barely notice it was out of place. a piece of metal was bent wrong(i bent it back) not allowing the headlight to pop back up. but the light did turn on. the other one doesnt so i think ive got an electrical problem on my hands....again.
