Radiator Fan not turing on after swapping in 95 D15B7 into 91 EF civic
Well i had a 1.5L (duel Port) 1991 civic hatch that i took the engine out. I had a good 1995 head and block so i swapped over the duel port manifold etc so it would swap into my 91. Well i got the swap done and everything went fine, except for now the radiator fan wont work.
On the 1991 is the sensor for the fan located on the back of the block under the intake manifold???
anyways... i coulnd't swap over this sensor on the the 95 D15. The place where it was supposed to go had a plug in it and i couldn't get it off.
How do i go about getting the fan to work again?...

first off check to see if your plug on the side of the thermostart is plugged in...if it is unplug it and throw on a wire like an inch long and just put each end of the wire into the two females on the plug then just turn your ignition on....
fan shouldddd kick right on
if not just hook up a switch...
cut the two wires on the fan hook the black on up to a wire and ground it out then the other one run a wire to a switch inside the car then have a seperate wire running from the battery or any power source to the plug and just flip it and it'll kick on
however if you dont want to go spend money you could just run a wire and wrap it around a fuse under the dash...perferably maybe a cigg lighter fuse or any fuse that relays power when the car is running

I bought a obdI zc and ran into the same problem, however i was able to get the plug out of the back of the block to replace it with the thermosensor. If you absolutely cannot get the plug out, there should be a gray plug near the thermostat housing. You will need to wire the existing wires from the engine harness into that.
If you need a pic, i might be able to get you one.

okay thanks... i just wanted to confirm that on a 91' D15B7 that the sensor for the fan was indeed on the back of the block... okay ill look for that plug near the thermostat housing and try to just extend the wires from the harness into that hole.
so where is the fan temp sensor on a 95' D15B7 supposed to go?
