Default high flow catalytic converter...what you running?

I put 4-1 headers on my LS swap hatch several months back, already had 2.5" from cat back. I'm now tryin to get rid of the bottle neck (about 1.75"inlet on the cat). I still need to muffle it somewhat; so I want to put in a high flow cat.

I read up a little and found that Car Sound seems to be perferred. I also found some magnaflow models but I read they don't last long. Any other suggestions?

Who makes it? How much was it? Did it make your car much louder?

i got an ebay one with my headers, and I installed the headers and the hgih flow cat, looks exactly like SIRX cat. It didnt make that much of a sound difference but thats because I havent welded on my muffler yet its still stock. Ill let you know Im welding it on tomorrow

My cat is from an 04 Accord. Pretty good flowing, not modded.

for you guys with high flow cats, does it cut out the raspy-ness unlike a gutted cat?

that's what i have always done for years. BTW, the raspiness is caused from a crappy muffler, not a gutted cat. sure, the cat magnifies it, but if you have a decent muffler, you wont hear much of a difference at all.
