Rack and pinion?
This service guy tells me that power steering fluid is coming from my steering rack and pinion because its wearing down and right now it's just leaking a little but will evetually start leaking alot....cost $950.00 parts and labor to fix Am I getting ripped or am I better off buying it somewhere used and getting it installled? What will happen if I keep driving on it? Thanks

Well a New rack and pinon will run about 400-450$, theres usually a core on them, for about $130...
So you figure 450 for the part plus.... labor would be probably like 70 bucks an hour and take around 5-6 hour.. so thats about 420 in labor...
Now, if you are mechanically inclined you can do this yourself, but its alot easier with a lift..
if you wanna save yourself about 500 bucks... get a manual from your auto parts store, and it will tell you step by step how to replace it..
And if and when it gets worse, your rack and pinion will just leak and it will be as if you dont have power steering

WAY TOO MUCH MONEY..
buy a reman rack yourself ( auto zone, checker, bap ) etc etc, cost it is around $250-300.. take it to a shop and have them replace it . All you will need on top of that is some Honda p/s fluid and they have to do a wheel alignment
Labor to replace the rack is around 3.5- 4 hrs . so depending on how much their hourly rate is , that is the labor cost + alignment .
