Well Wednesday i was initially pulled over for not having blinkers, i didn't realize also that i didn't have my permit on me, so cop let me off with warning for the blinkers and just gave me a ticket to show proof that i have my permit. I think it helped that right when i got pulled over i turned the bike off, got off the bike, and took my helmet off. Next day i get my license and all is well.
Today(30 min ago) i get pulled over again for no blinkers, and again i pulled over, turned off the bike, got off, and took helmet off, sir yes sir, blah blah blah, he was a bit more of a dick and pointed out every little thing that was wrong with the bike, BUT did not give me a ticket. Not to mention i was speeding and thats why i thought he pulled me over. both of those cops were on motorcycles too. goes to show that being nice to a cop sometimes does work out.

Motorcycle cops are the cops that enforce traffic laws and vehicle code (every cop does to some extent, but the motorcycle cops are usually traffic-only cops). If you indeed lack turn-signals, they had every right to pull you over. You did the right thing by turning the bike off and removing your helmet, as that adds a sense of security to the officer. Being polite is the only way to speak to a police officer (or any professional personnel) and was probably also helpful in earning you a warning, rather than a citation for not meeting vehicle code (assuming your bike is without blinkers). All in all, if your bike is out of code, be prepared for traffic stops.

thank you so much for the information sir, i had no idea!
never said they had no right, just ive been riding for a few years and never got pulled over for blinkers twice in such a short period of time. I heard a myth that if a cop on a bike pulls you over, you will not get out without a ticket, guess its been proved wrong.
and no i dont have blinkers, just bought the bike a week ago, blinkers on their way.

No problem.
No problem.
Usually the bike cops are always the ones that are the biggest dicks because they have the most exposure to other sport bike riders and just stereo-type you right away. When I've been pulled over the the cager cops, they've always been cool.

When it's at night, I wouldn't dare to ride without blinkers.
Especially at 12 am by yourself, blinkers are a must
LEDS FTW

i got pulled over for doin 35 in a 25 by a motorcycle cop...i got off my bike was about to take off my helmet but he didnt let me...he said u dont need to take it off to speak to me...yelled at me for a bit then let me go
Yeah, I was respectful to the cop when I got pulled over. That pig was the most disrespectful ******* I've ever dealt with, he acted like my speeding was the worst, most outrageous thing that he ever witnessed. He proceeded to write me tickets for everything he could possibly find wrong with my bike. After I tried to ask him specifics about my tickets he then yelled at me and then walked off.
Stupid cops enforcing stupid laws and abusing the power they have. That is Daly City for you. I guess I was just another ******* sport biker to him. In reality I use my POS for commuting.
I'm still bitter if you couldn't tell.

thats odd, I'm always polite and respectful...but I dont think I've ever been let off. its just business to them.
