Default Too much Carbon fiber?

I was just thinking, my 97 coupe has a bad bumper, kinda rusty/dented fenders / my sister owned my hood when i moved out too so Big silver dent in black hood.. anyway, How much carbon fiber is too much? I've always wondered how my black car would look with bumper/lip/fenders/hood/Doors ( ive they have them ) rear bumper/wing/trunk/ etc pretty much everything except 1/4 panels and roof.

Just as a general question though, how much is too much?

I think i'll be doing something similar to this basically cause its My car of course, and so who cares but i just wanted a general perspective from u guys too

personal choice. Do you have a huge *** wallet? And is it you daily driver? Not really practical imo. The most i'd ever do is a hood and perhaps a lip.

nah my wallet is weak. But the car has big dents / rust because of "hail damage" from texas which also earned it the "Rebuilt/Restore" title And around here, ive been finding clean black panels for about the same price as the carbon fiber ones.. ya its my only car btw

They do make doors. Not a good idea though unless it is a strip car where weight is an issue. What happens if someone t-bones you? I think carbon is only nice as an accent piece. I think that would just look gaudy but i dont even like carbon trunks so?

Safety is an issue if you do C/F doors.
Personally i think C/F hood and C/F lip is plenty.
All that other stuff is real expensive, plus C/F is stiff and brittle, so it can crack. Thats why C/F lips arent the best option on a lowered car.

Haha, if you're not made of money, carbon fiber everything is going to be hard to attain. Even if you get so much carbon fiber, I'd suggest you paint some of it to better match, even on a black car. Anywho, it's your car, but I'd suggest applying what money you have towards parts that matter more.

lol asian women love CF? always wanted an asian :D

yeah safety wasn't really on my mind, thanks for looking out.

hey i like the stickers idea, at least it would cover ugly spots on my doors!

maybe ill just do the hood/front bumper / fenders since they are the worst. hopefully it wouldn't look riced out though.

ill check ebay for those stickers

carbon fenders make a black car look dirty. my friends saw a prelude with carbon fenders and we all said wtf? from far off it looks like black primer and dirt. im guessing the doors would be similar as the quarters wouldnt match... two tone paintjob anyone? haha id stick with hood, trunk, and maybe that one carbon low profile spoiler(wings are for airplanes and f&f homos)

carbon fiber hood, trunk, fenders are good for me. doors, not a god idea, and bumpers? never seen them, atleast oem ones anyway.

then you paint them all. your car will be alittle lighter and you'll still be able to stay in sleeper mode.

I don't know where your looking for clean black parts, but I bet any comparably priced carbon fiber pieces are ******* junk.

Look harder and expect to get it all painted. Then shop around for a painter who might offer you a decent deal.

car-part.com

And here's a car that had a lot of carbon fiber front end parts. Can't say it's one of my favorites.

If this thread teaches you anything, it should be that your idea would look like ***.

I actually find that car strangely appealing. It reminds me of a candy corn.

And now, off to A/C...

Maybe that's why I don't. I can't stand candy corn either.
