Default My EK Built-up ** UPDATE 01 Feb 2008 ** (tons of pics)

Ok So. I will post the built-up of my EK.

This has been done last july.
I will swap this winter

So here it goes !

Cons:
- Front Bumper jobber and not paint
- Trunk has been hit
- Rust on the back near the trunk

So I decided to strip it and start working on it with the precious help of a good friend of mine !

The car stripped




Radio antena will be shave


Rust


My friend with the old trunk (He's a vw fan )

New trunk (will have to shave hole, it will be wingless)

Was supposed to be painted in white (Championship white or Mazda 6 white).

I finally end up with a mastertint color (YM154).

But it turn lighter that we tought


3 coat, without the clearcoat

- DIY Blackhousing
- Coils Tein S-Tech
- Konig Helium 15"
- ITR Shiftboots
- JDM ITR Shiftknob

This winters
- B series swap (did make any choice yet)
- Rear disk brake conversion

haha... there was more. thought that is all you had done so far. The paint will def. make you stand out of the crowd. Good work so far though. I myself am gonna start restoring my car this winter then probably gonna swap the engine out next spring. Still not totally sure yet.

looks nice

probably should have taken the front and rear lips off before painting, so lets say you crack your lip, and the next one doesnt fit just exactly the same you wont have an unpainted piece of the bumper exposed.

i know, ive been though 7 front lips

I didn't think about that when we did it.

We wanted to make sure that we don't scratch the front/rear bumper while installing lip
