i am looking to buy a four door Lx. i mentioned to the sales man that i was thinking about getting some new wheels (some sort of oe or hfp). he made it sound like i have to stick with 16 inch cause if i go to 17 it will void the warranty. i don't know the tire sizes of the Lx vs the Si but i would think the overall diameter is the same.

I have a 06 coupe LX with 18 inch aftermarket rims, and it didnt void my warranty

 

It won't void the warranty. I have 18's on my car and I recently took my car to the dealer to get my suspension fixed. The warranty is only voided when parts aren't stock.

if they can prove that the aftermarket part caused the problem you brought your car in for

When a car is offered with OPTIONAL 17's or 18's and your putting on an OEM rim from another honda model with Identical offset & sized tires......

They really don't have a leg to stand on.. and if they actually tried to deny any time of claim , a logical manager or honda corp wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Common Sense will prevail in situations like this.
