Window tinting?
I have a 98' Civic HX. I'd like to get the windows tinted. I live in California where I know the law is a bit strict with tinting.
I'm thinking of getting the front windshield 35% and the rear windshield tinted at 20%, the front driver and passenger windows 20%, and the rear side windows at 5%.
Is this a good combination? In other words are some of the windows too dark (for practical use)? Also what is the likelihood I'll get a ticket for this higher degree of tinting that what is legal in Calif.?

Your best bet is to talk to an officer or someone who actually knows the law.
I think tinting the winshield is illegal, regardless of the %.
Also: a pet peeve of mine: there is no rear winsheild. It's just a rear window.
