on my way to work yesterday, 100' from my house someone turned left in front of me. couldn't stop, doing about 25mph and went over her hood. broke my left humeris clean, got airlifted to county and was otherwise unhurt, though i'm pretty sore.

didn't get a good look at the bike, but it looked bad from what i could tell. poor triumph

grateful to be alive, though.

anyway, trying to sort out things w/ insurance and otherwise, and enjoying the vicodin.

gear wise i was a little underdressed: mesh jacket, short gloves, lid, jeans and boots. so i was pretty lucky that i'm not rashed up at all and that i was going slow. prob some things i could've done better to mitigate the accident, but not much.

yeah i think this was my sign to give up riding street oh well, no more bike payment means more $ for trackdays!

wasn't bad. yah its a circus but the dr's and (cute) nurses were good to me.

alot of riders took care of me yesterday: one of the emt's in the ambulance, one of the helo guys, one of the dr's, and my nurse (a cool dude) all ride or used to. the abovementioned cute female nurses were all pretty nice b/c i'm just easy to look at herb!

engine: yeah surprising to me too, but i guess they wanted to take me to a major trauma ctr, which was 1hr figuring morning traffic, to make sure i wasn't suffering from more serious injuries...hey as long as i don't have to pay for the flight...
