So i'm in the market for an ep3
Ok, so I was hit by a drunk driver four months ago and I am now getting my settlement money. When I was with my ex she bought one an it really grew on me. I have been looking an the price range seems to be between 10-13k with 60k miles. Dose this sounds about right? I looked at the rsx but it is just not my style, looks better for a young college girl. I remember that my ex's si had a trans. problem with 1st to 2ed but i really never drove it hard so really do not mind. Some of the ones i have found have been modded an im really not wanting one that some asshat messed with. Dose the price seem right an should i buy from a dealer or another person?
go to www.nada.com and check out the prices.. it will tell you
to be honest 10-13k seems pretty steep for an ep3 as i bought my 02 rsx-s for 12.6k with 51k miles

I thought it sounded a bit much. I live in Austin, TX an looking here, dallas, houston, an other areas it seems to be the going rate.
I have found a few 05's with 20k want $17000 but i can't spend that much. All of the 02-04's are less then 60k an priced around 10-12k. so i guess that's just what the going rate is.

You might say that if you never drove a type s. Im guessing opinion changes after you whip one around tho, mine did. I use to say they were chick cars too, till I drove my boys '05, now look what I'm driving.

Insurance isnt as bad as you think. Im 23 and have 4 points on my record and I pay $268/month for 3 cars. 117= '02 Rsx-S 107='00 Accord Coupe 40= '98 S10. Look into esurance, or even triple A if you have it, they both will give you really good rates.

I drove an s (and my ep and wrx on the same day. I picked the slowest one lol). Of course the rsx-s was fast but I didn't like how it handled (was moderatly lowered) and overall the ep seemed best (wrx had problems). When people say the RSX is a college girl car, it's because it literally is real popular with college girls. Most people think the EP is ugly. Which is fine by me (less ep's out there).

I just sold my 02 EP3 for $10K with 47K miles stock. Carmax wanted to give me $7,500, but was selling an 03 w/ 64K miles for $13,500.

Carmax is a joke. They offer the lowest of the low trade values and slap their customers with a no-hassle price. Their only positive point is nice warranties.

this is what she wrote me back,
("I bought it as a Certified Used Honda about 2.5 years ago, so the title should be clean. I believe I was the second owner. I put about 20,000 miles on it since I owned it. The two rear panels have been painted but there is no structural damage to the vehicle.
I left 3 weeks ago so teh car is not being driven on a regular basis")
