Default OEM side skirt help!!!

This will be my first post on H-T under THIS username. I've been around, posted stuff, but that was my brother's sign in. --so I don't know if that will still consider me a NOOB.

anyway, i've done my search but it leads no where. Perhaps i'm not seraching hard enough???

anyway, guys, I'll be picking up a 98 GSR saturday. Although I have not picked up the car yet, she's mine.

The car has the OEM (or to some the TYPE-R) front lip, the rear valance, but not the side thing. --I'm not even sure what its called...and its NOT the side skirt...I don't think.

Please see the picture below. (And I give props to the owner of this car...for his gynormous calipers/brakes set up)

If you guys know where to find this piece, please let me know!

Thanks guys!!

They are the OEM type r side skirts dude, there are 2 of them, one for each side, that fit right over the black plastic side skirt part....... You can get them on EBAY for like $150 unpainted.....they are nice...

if i'm not mistaken, those are the oem optional side skirts... hard to find the real ones and many fiberglass knock-offs are floating around.

Actually, i don't know if you would consider them "type R" because even the TYPE R didn't come with them.

anyway, thanks. I know they are the OEM ones, but everywhere I searched "OEM SIDE SKIRT" ...the side skirt alone came up...so I got more confused and started doubting myself.

Thanks guys!

Those aren't type r skirts. they're the oem optional side skirts and they don't fit over the stock ones that come on a teg from factory. You have to remove those and put the optionals on. they clip into the same mounting spots. you'll need new clips though.

Be prepared to have a fun time finding them, at least the real ones. I spent 500 on mine. The ones floating over on ebay aren't an exact fit. they need a little trimming from what I read over on TI. Those would probably be your best bet if you want them but if your **** about the real ones good luck.

To be honest, I wouldn't want to pay for $150 fake a$$ side skirts on ebay and such just to find out they won't fit properly.

And I saw that thread on TeamIntegra too. Can't wait, but its already been a few months. The dude said it would only take a few. Oh well.

Thanks guys!
