Okay guys, I don't usually do this, but I happen to got a chance to work with AbtivanConcepts to organize this group buy. I'm trying to get them to host a group buy for some SRDs, however, I need to see how many people would be interested.

Here's an idea on the price:

1 ppl: $630 shipped (each w/ rail)
1 - 5 ppls: $610 shipped (each w/ rail)
6 - 10 ppls: $595 shipped (each w/ rail)
11 or more: $580 shipped (each w/ rail)

what you all think?

note: Prices are not firm yet...I'm still working on it.

good stuff if you can get the 550 price i guess.

there are occaisionally stores who sell them for about 1050 shipped...

but the 50 dollars shouldnt matter much if your considering these seats.

I might be able to get some other peeps interested if these seats will fit other cars as well. Im not sure which cars they will swap into or not. Maybe you could post what cars these seats will fit without much problem??

dont think so, if i remember correctly, they're a few punds heavier, but way more supportive.

 

The are definately heavier! I don't know the exact weight diff. Will know this weekend. But taking them out and putting them in 3 times or so, it's really hard to carefully lift the recaros out, but you can practically toss the stock seat around easily.
Sorry for the non-technical answer. I have a stock ITR seat out, and antoher Recaro going in this weekend. I'll get you numbers then.

 

Try PEP (Precision Engineered Products) in CA. There was a groupbuy back in 2000 and you could get them for $450 with rails shipped. You could get them full custom: bolsters, inner, letters, center hole ($25), pneumatic insert ($50), etc. I got it with black cloth/black letters (stealthish). Regardless, the deal that is up is a good deal. I've seen them sell for $599 without the rails.

 

I can't imagine how they could do this, that is a crazy, crazy price! Good job for jumping on it. Any pics of the black stitching on black, it's pretty easy to imagine, just wanted to see pics!

k guys...i changed got the newest prices....bad news...all Recaros are on back orders...and until we have definte answer of how many ppl's interested, we can't work out a better deal.

 

does the recaros lower the seat position in the GS-R?
