ok, my buddy and i just installed a MSD 6AL with MSD Cap, Blaster SS coil in his 2000 ITR. Now, after all the install and "TRIPLE" check we tried the 3000 "TEST" pill for the revlimiter. Unfortunately, it doesnt work just rev pass it! So, we tried 8000RPM Pills and still shoot out pass 8000RPM.

Anyone got any input?

I say sell all the msd stuff and go back to stock ignition unless your running nitrous oxide

 

he bought this to prevent over rev.

he got a chipped ECU that revlimit at 9200rpm. he wants it only at 8600rpm (FOR NOW)

yes, its MSD Part # 8293. 94-00 Integra VTEC

 

Did you cut the wires on it? There is a small black ring that has a screw in it and will have two wires looping back into the box when removed. The colors are blue and red. You need to cut the two because the car is a four cylinder. HTH, lates.

 

between what you just said and the wiring for and in the distributor...i'd say thats the issue.
