Neighbor, who is a heavy machinery mechanic, looked at my 1993 Honda after I complained of low brakes. He said brake shoes were on in reverse, shorter ones should be on the front, longer ones in back. Said to bring car in for service, which I did.

Regular mechanic looked at me like I was crazy. Checked brakes. Said all four brake shoes are the same size so mixing them up is impossible and it doesn't matter which goes where.

Told Neighbor. Neighbor said they were different sizes and that's why he noticed a problem.

Anyone know the answer?
