Default suspension techniques Sway bar

just got the ST rear for CRX and in the instructions it says that the welded nut that is on the shock needs to be removed,

my question is; would it effect anything if i just got a longer bolt and just have the plate in between the nuts

yeah that would work. just turn the shock 180 degrees too, have the bracket flush under the bolt head.
