Default Best Piston for my Setup? JDM ITR, CTR, Standard Bore, .25, .50?

Like the title says guys, I'm trying to decide between going with the JDM ITR standard bore pistons I already have, or should I go with:

CTR Standard Bore

JDM CTR or ITR .25 over

JDM CTR or ITR .50 over

Setup looks like this:

68mm Skunk2 Throttle Body
Skunk2 Intake Manifold (GSR)
P&P GSR Head
Skunk2 Springs and Retainers
Skunk2 Pro 1 Cams (Not Stage 1, Pro 1's, sorry, haha)
Skunk2 Pro Series Cam Gears
JDM 98+ Spec Type-R Tranny w/4.7 Final Drive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially cuz if I go in to the block to change the pistons, I don't wanna have to go back in there for a while. Pro's and Con's would also be appreciated. Thnx again in advance guys.

I guess I'll place the first vote, since these are the ones I already have now.

JDM ITR Standard Bore Pistons.

Sounds almost like my set up I'm working on.....except I'll be using different brand parts. As for the pistons that are in the block already, they're ctr .25 oversized pistons. After doing a lot of research, people have produced really good gains, BUT everyone has emphasized that tuning the car was a huge factor into making sure this set up runs correctly. People tend to go towards jdm itr std or .25 oversized just because you have more room for tuning.

standard p30's

more compression than itr's, less than pct's.

so true, also i would get oversized pistons. its always good to go oversize on a rebuild, to get a fresh round bore.

also .25 over is good enough.

it work as good as it was built and tune.

sup guys? Decided to go with some JDM ITR .25 over, I figured the block's probably gonna need to be resurfaced, so might as well bore it out a quarter and play it safe. Thnx for the input guys.

stick arround with itr 0.5 they have bigger valve pockets than the rest , p30 is a good choice also, since your running gsr heads your compression is going to be high" watch out"i wouldnt use ctr unless your using this set for off road with racing fuel, any how your set up sounds sweet dude good luck

why not just do 82mm bore p30 or p73? if u gonna spend money on a quick build, why not get a good bang for your buck? with a good tune u can pretty much run a high compression and get away with a dd, even with pct's. tune is mandatory. to me if u spend any money make it worth your while. as long as it's within your budget why not take it as far as it can go. honestly i would do a p30 ( higher comp than p73) 82mil bore and a bad *** tune and you set. of course it all depends on your head setup but at least your block is set to go. good power good budget and good power thats just my 2 cents
