Default Slow turn signals, sometimes

The turn signals on my 93 del Sol are acting a little weird: when its colder out, like below 60*, if i flip the turn signal switch there is a delay until it starts flashing, but once it does it flashes normally until i try it again.
The colder it gets out the worse this is, sometimes up to what is probably a 10 or 15 second delay. But once the temperature goes up past say, 65* you dont even notice the problem. All the bulbs are functioning, oem bulbs, and everything else seems perfectly normal.
Im just tired of having to try to predict when i should flick on my signals long before i actually need to turn. Any ideas?

I have a 97 Civic EX that does the exact same thing. A new signal switch is pretty expensive, I'm hoping I can dig one out of a junk yard and give it a shot. It only happens with the left signal for me, the right signal works fine all the time. If you figure something out let me know! The wiper switch on the other side is also messed up on mine, I have to balance the thing in the middle to keep either the fluid from spraying or the wipers from coming on.

I have 1997 Del Sol and I have this exact issue: when it's cold the turn signals are very sluggish to turn on, takes up to 15 seconds.
Same thing, when they do turn on they click as normal.
Eventually when the cabin warms up the signals work as normal.
I'm thinking it could possibly be something up with the "electronic chassis control module" which is attached behind the under-dash fuse box.
Perhaps it's simply a loose connection. It's an unusual problem because when the cabin warms up, the issue goes away.
