Default How much should I expect to get for a 97 D16Y8?

It has been serviced religously since I owned it.
Tranny recently rebuilt. (3,000 miles ago).
Total milage 108,000

Curiosity.

For the full swap I'd say the best offer you'll get on this board is $400. If you sell if somewhere other than this board, $800.

i'd say 400-650, anyone willing to pay more is a fool. just my opinion don't get mad.

The tranny might just be kept. Since it was recently rebuilt.

But, I have seen the heads sell for 400 therefore, I think I would part it out.


Actually, that thing could probably make a very nice Cart engine.

You have to be realistic, I bought a 97 Y8 engine here in Socal for $300. That included the complete engine with both manifolds and a DX transmission. It was a pretty good deal but the fact is that most people just want to get rid of the engine after they do a swap. They don't want to have it laying around taking up space so they let it go for cheap. You might have better luck selling it for what your asking if you put it on ebay or are willing to hold onto it for a while till you find someone who is willing to pay that much.
