my car is my daily driver and i wont b taking it to the track at all in other words i dont do much competing , i just would like something fun to drive and be proud of it. i would like to know if i were to drop it, could i just get the lowering springs ex; tein s-tech?

yes you can just get lowering springs.

I ran 1.8inch Suspension techniques lowering springs on all corners for over 4yrs on stock shocks. Handled fine, looked fine.

springs if you just want to lower. coilovers if you want adjustability.

 

shocks are highly recommeded if you drop your car but it has been done numerous times on stock shocks that have lasted a few years.

get a good spring/shock combo

i ran h&r springs on stock struts for about a year/18k before the oem struts blew. tokiko illumina's were installed and i wished i would have had them since day one!

 

Before I got my tein ss coilovers I ran 2-2-1/2" lowering springs on stock struts for 3 years without any problems. When I took the struts out to install the coilovers they weren't leaking or anything. So it can be done with descent results if you are just using it for daily driving.
