AP1 Headlights Painted Color Match (Pix Request)
I havent reallt seean it and personaly i dont like it unless the color of the car is dark. color matched headlights dont look clean imo.
Are you referring to color-matched like the newest corvettes? If so, I thought about doing that to mine but I'm worried about getting a good seal after disassembling the headlight itself. ie. moisture and fogging.....
Import Tuner's Nov 07 issue has a red s2000 with custom red headlights. I personally don't like this idea, but hey everyone has their own taste...anyhow I took some pictures so you can see them! Sorry about the poor quality, they came straight from the mag....enjoy!

Take it easy on him!! He went through the expense of having them powder coated, not painted...it just looks like they're painted.
I've seen this done on a blue S, and many VW GTI's and looks really good. I've considered this on my Spa Yellow S but I may go with simply painting the flat black into a glossy black, or perhaps a wrinkle finish. The other alternative would do on my S would be black tinting on the head and tail lights and blinkers.

thanks for backing me up man, I wanted black rims and whats the point of paying a **** load of money for black rims when I can just have them powder coated. I still think painting your headlights is still lame!

painting your headlights and taillights to match the color of your car is lame.. Nastiest thing i've seen done to an S in a while...gross. If you want them to match, just make sure you get a black s2000.
