IMO, waste of money. any type of additive is a waste of money. and if it does have any affect to the motor, they're most likely at a minimum.
why do you ask?

I heard of changing your oil with tranny fluid for the first 100 miles and then putting oil in. helps with rings and other things. might not be what you're looking for, but check it out before just trying it. do a search for that.

the oil recommendation i can give is stay on top of it. i tell people all the time, if you want your car to last a long time, change your oil on time.
the one easiest thing many people over look.

can you try this for us??
Im curious as to what your results would be from putting tranny fluid in a motor.

Most motor oil aficionados are not big supporters of additives, usually pointing out that a high-quality motor oil does not need anything else to properly protect the engine. That being said, some additives are effective when trying to address a specific issue, so it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
