i got some sort of idle problem. it all started first when my intake manifold gasket ripped n then after that my knock sensor broke n i also ended up with another leak after i fixed the manifold. but i just fixed those problems n my check engine light gone n it works perfectly smooth. BUT... when i start it up it start idling all high up n down for a lil while n then it sometimes does when i slow down to a full stop. so what do yall think?? everything is good but dat started again.

oh one little thing i changed though. the little line on the bottem of the intake manifold that connects to sum black box down there next to it. since it broke i put in a smaller sraw inside the little hose to connect them together. so u think mabye since that hole is super small now, that its causing a problem???

 

go look for the idle surge thread, but yeah that black box creates a vacuum i believe which makes the idle surge.

 

it sounds like the fast idle control valve under the TB. if you put you finger in the the hole at the bottom corner inside the TB and it starts to idle normal, then that is you prob.
