Default 99 hb lsvtec Brake/supension budget build

hello, ive been around for a while

decided to post a build thread

this is my 99 hb dx

it has an lsvtec
and a 100 shot of nitrous

no i'm in the precess of piecing together a BBK from parts i have laying around from other projects.

i have front calipers/rotors from a 2007 acura TL AT that i did a stop-tech BBK install on.

and i have a complete DA F/R brake swap from an old DA i owned

from reading this
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1811368

i have decided to bolt on the rear DA brakes and use the knuckles from the DA and the TL calipers and rotors.

but i run into this delema...

the pistons seems to be the same size and the pad surface area on the rotors are the same.

rotor
DA 10.3" .75" thick
TL 11.8" 1.4" thick

pads are almost identical
2x5"
but the tl is more consistent

calipers
DA 7" long
TL8.25" long

but i know for sure that one of the DA calipers needs a rebuild....

what to do?
is the extra weight worth the little extra brake pad area?
are the pistons different?
would it just look better?

discuss
