Hail damage to my ITR....
Well, 2 weeks ago I got caught in a wicked hail storm the size of golfballs. I was driving at the time, but only moving ~5mph while jammed in traffic. The sound of the hail hitting my roof, hood and windshield was unreal. I seriouslly thought the windshield was going to crack!
The outcome was not nice, every panel on my 2k1 'R needs to be fixed. The hood is a total loss, it's unbelieveable how bad it is. The adjuster cut me a check today for $3061, which is minus my $500 deductable.
I don't know my exact gameplan, but i'm going to the dealer first for a quote. I am not going to tell them it's an accident claim as they may attempt to squeeze more money out of me.
Has anyone ever delt with something like this?? Would it be safe to assume that they gave me more back than what it will take to fix? Man I hope so......

My friend had really bad hail damage to his Type R. He ended up getting paintless dent repair on all the dings. My PDR places charges $75 per body panel. So, even counting all body panels it only totals $675 or so. He decided against having anything done to his roof (and the dings on it) because he didnt want them removing his headliner.
So, you could conceivably EARN some money on this whole ordeal.

I would have found the best body shop, got the estimate, and only then would I have had the adjuster cut a check...
Thanks for the replies, I think i'm going to check into the PDR, i've seen them work wonders in the past....
Those door ding removal guys are what you need Will cost you less then doing "body work" and will still have a original Panels.
Call one of them up and let them take a look, can't hurt to try right?

When I had a new Si I had hail damage and the cars next to mine didn't. Figure that one out.
