illuminas. not pricey. check ebay for direct prices. call them up yourself, im sure they gladly will take your order outside of ebay. others have. others have also gotten shox.com to MATCH the ebay price.

kyb's are not pricey, illuminas can be found at a good price but still not as low as kyb's.

Which H&R's are you running sports? race? are you looking for top notch shocks or something in the middle with good performance and a fair price. Top notch illumnia's(if you have the extra money get them). A shock that performs fairly well as a DD with a fair price is the kyb agx's. I'm on my second set and i'm happy with them. My next set of shocks will def. be illuminas or koni's.

i've had the agx's. don't let the adjustability fool you. they aren't worth the money. i'd go with some illuminas, as mentioned, or if you get a wild hair go for the koni yellows.

I have had the exact set up of H&R sport springs and KYB AGX dampers on my daily driven 95 hatch for about 3 years. I have had to change out two of the shocks this past Jan because of an accident, but other than that the combo has performed well. The KYB's are a mid range adjustable shock especially compared to the tokico illuminas (you can check the shock dyno sheets at the top of the forum), but they are better suited for the H&R sport's moderate spring rate. I have the rears at 4, the fronts at 2, and I get a very good balance out of it. I drive somewhat aggresive on the street and I also autocross with the same set up and I am very happy with it. Depending on how you drive and what you will be using the set up for, the illuminas at its highest settings could be wasteful for the price you pay. Remember though, this damping comparison is with the H&R sport springs, not the race springs.

adjustment or not, the quality is worth the price.
