Default Can I put the fuel guage on the fuel rail instead of the filter?

Hey I just got the B&M fuel rail and FPR. It says to mount the fuel guage on the fuel filter, but it seems impossible to get to. It is the same if I just put in where the banjo is on the fuel rail? PSI should be the same shouldnt it be?

placing the guage on the filter is...questionable...due to the distance it is away from the fuel rail/fpr

and there is no place on the stock fuel rail to place one

well the filter is just hard to get to. But for the fuel rail, they supply a new screw with a hole in it for the fuel flow, so I can just take the old one out, put in this new one and now there is a hole on top where the guage can go through. My question is only to know if there is a difference in psi there. Is it still accurate?

just the stock jdm h22a. What i mean is that on the filter and rail they have a screw that has a hole in it for the fuel (where the banjo goes). Then there is a cap. The instructions say to take out that screw then put in their supplied screw. The top of the new screw has a hole to put the guage on. Will this be the same on the fuel rail as with the filter?

yes, the guage has to be before or on the fpr (not after it) to read the pressure accuratelly

It won't work.I have the B&M fuel pressure guage too.I was thinking the exact same thing. And how the hell are you going to easily read that guage on top of the filter? The fitting on the end of the fuel rail is different (I tried it too). I just went to the auto parts store and bought a couple of fuel line fittings and clamps and put it inline on the rubber fuel hose going to the FPR. I haven't had any problems. Good luck.

Yes you can. on a h22a swap. I have done it. I will try to post pictures as well, but first thing, in order to put the guage on the rail, you will have to remove the nipple (yes it is called that) from the rail where the banjo bolt/fuel line attaches. If you can find the right thread pitch, butt 2 nuts together tightly (I can here the jokes already...)Then you can back the nipple out of the rail and replace it with the adapter intended for the fuel filter. It is pretty easy. I suggest a liquid filled guage for this location as more vibration will damage the guage after time.

BTW, you can use a 4th gen F22 fuel rail on the h22a for easier fuel routing.

Sorry, I was talking about a F22B.

(edit) DVP95 how much are you selling that JDM H22a for?
