aftermarket rods on b16 pistons?
I was talking to a buddy of mine about my setup and mentioned what pistons i was gonna run and that i was looking for rods and he said he heard or wasnt sure that you couldnt run aftermarket rods on stock pistons
i got .50 pr3 pistons. im guessing honda made these. onlything the box says
is SP12-103 and the model it fits. but theyll be exactly the same as stock pistons just .50 over.
and i was gonna use an aftermarket LS rods for an ls/vtec setup could anyone please clear this up for me?

Aftermarket rods are designed for a floating pins and oem pistons are designed for pressed pins. The pistons would need to be machined for clips. At that point your better off just getting forged aftermarket pistons.
welp i just ordered a set of the 8mm arp rod bolts from lightningmotorsports with a coupon i found got it 36shipped free shipping no taxes. ima just throw it together with ls rods for now so i can just drive it. then work on a stroker b16 next.
