Is this normal fuel pressure behaviour?
Background info:
I have a 92VX hatch with a b16a, a walbro 255/h pump and an aem fuel pressure regulator and marshal gauge.
Tonight I was checking the fuel pressure on my car after an oil change (I find the AEM does not hold constant pressure, sometimes it is a few psi higher or lower) and when i primed the pump I heard a crackling noise when I was standing next to the motor.
The sound is comming from the rail/regulator area, sounds sort of like a cracking/hissing sound that is not overly loud but noticeable.
So I quickly checked the area for leaks as I was paranoid of fire, but there is nothing at all squirting a drop of fuel. None of the firewall lines, filter, rail, injectors, regulator.
When I watch the gauge pressure also goes from 33 psi to 0psi when the key is turned off instantly, where as before it would drop very very slowly (15 min or so).
What the hell is going on?

Is the vacuum line from your fuel pressure regulator to your intake manifold disconnected when you're checking said fuel pressure?
should have stuck with the stock regulator. dont know why everybody always changes them. pointless unless your making serious power
