Civic EK tweeter cable
Hello everyone.
I got a used pair of OEM tweeters for my EK3 which is all nice and good.
The problem is that I'm told that my EDM spec car didn't come with the cable that splits the signal from the front speakers to the tweeters so I can't really install them. I lack the tools and knowledge to solder the wires and would much prefer a clean, elegant OEM install.
If you know the part number for this cable (red arrow in the pic) please tell me. My local dealer was less than helpful.

Thanks for your time.

well, there is a diy fix, but it won't be pretty. You need to depin the woofer connector, and attach a wire to the proper terminals along with the woofer cable and run it to the tweeter, you will have to most likely drop the harness connector on the tweeter. Just don't cut past the thing wrapped in foam, it's a crossover. Might I add, the tweeters do close to nothing. I could barely hear them even on a song with only highs. However, my tweets from the polk comps I installed could very well be a speaker on their own.
any update on this as im in the middle of doing this myself?
i have an ek9 and the passenger side has a plug to plug it straight in but the drivers side doesnt.
i have infinity kappa speakers installed with their own crossover and im just confused where join my tweeter wires to, do i have to bridge it all the way down to the orig speaker wire?

The crossover is not in the door if you didn't already have the tweeters. If using an aftermarket one it should be very easy, and instructions clear.
