power folding mirrors wiring diagram and yes i searched
i would like to kno if anyone has a diagram for these mirrors because all the archived ones have links that dont work so if ne one has this it would be greatly appreciated thanks
If you got a 5 wires diagram, this will help you out.

I got mine with 8 wires because it has an optional heated mirror as well. I didn't hook up the heated mirror because I don't have the right switch for it, and the diagram (up there) doesn't work so well for me because all my wires are different colors. You can use a volt meter and play around with it and you can figure it out like I did.

And here is what it like once installed..click the link at the bottom..I made a video clip because someone requested it a while back..peace!!

only got my mirrors to fold in and out with out the stock relays and switch so i happend to hook it up to my alarm so when i arm my alarm it will fold in and when i disarm it fold out.
thats kewl do u have a setup or writeup about how u did that ive heard people doing that but i still want the switch and relays as a security and safety thing dont want to melt ne wires
It's a nice idea but I personally don't like hooking anything up to my alarm. Personally, I think by doing this, you will wear out the motor for your folding mirrors faster..then you're gonna have to find another set. I like to have the option of doing the folding in and out manually because there are less chances of some jerks parked like 2-3 inches next to your car, and when you hit your alarm to get into your car, your mirrors fold out and break against his car.
But if that's what you are interested in doing. Find the wire on your mirror switch fold in/out button that send power/voltage to your folding relay. Tapped into that wire, and run that tapped wire into your power/voltage of your alarm automatic door actuator. This will be in a parallel circuit, which doesn't cause extra resistances to your alarm or your folding mirrors. But make sure you test everything first before hooking anything up, and always use circuit protector(s). Good luck

actually i don't think that the motor will burn out if you hook it up to the alarm the circuit will cut off after just like the oem power windows. when the window goes all the way down the power cuts off and the motor stops. thats the same thing with the mirrors. and so is the jdm power switch. when you push the button for the mirrors to fold in it is grounded and the button stays in. also i hooked it up so when i disarm the alarm it woul not fold out right away. i hooked it up to a channel like the trunk popper signal then it would fold out.

What I meant is not by burning out. When you fold in and out, the folding mirror motor are in used, and is slowly wearing out from stressed. When you hook it up to your alarm system, the mirrors get folded in and out more often then it would if you were to fold them manually with a push of the fold button.

i get what your saying. why would it be slowly wearing out from stress...in japan they use it a lot also because there roads are not as wide and are often used.
