Default maximum performance on Type R

I have a 1996 LS that I did a 1999 Type R swap on. I am about to pull the engine, and I am wanting to know what can I do to get the maximum performance out of this engine. Internals/externals, clutch, axles, exhaust, intake ..... etc....

I wouldn't have got an R engine if you knew you wanted to build it. Waste of money.

Cams, IM, header, tuning.
