head question

Default head question

i have a Ls and i want to Ls-v, which head is the better buy b16/b20/gsr. I searched but didnt really find what i was looking for... would you guys know how much $ i would need to have it installed. thanks.

i can quickly tell you that a b20 head is non-vtec, so scratch that as an option.

Neither head is really "better". Are you building an engine with just 2 pieces or many? If you really want to build an LS/Vtec, take the approach that it is a combination of parts that will make this engine work for you depending on how you build it. Search under B20 or something and see what people are doing, that will help you with your plans.

for the time being i want the head to be stock, since i will be boosting(t3/t4). The only real reason i want vtec is because i've seen people on here gain about 40-50 hp with a vtec head. i want about 300 hps.thanks.

boost? i hear a pr3 head with CTR cams is a pretty nice combo....although you'll get better answers in the forced induction forum.
