Default lil expertise needed with this problem plz .........starter problem or so i thought

ok .....recently had the auto tranny from my 94 ls replaced with manual gsr. ( 2k miles ago)

The starter sounded like it was slowing down....( you gotta know what i mean) ya know the sound ......every honda has that unique sounding starter ya know

So this mornig it totally wouldnt start.....had to pop the clutch

after the ride home ( and stop @ autozone for a new starter) i tried to start it up again ....it worked ....bearly ...just sounded really weak

so ok i replaced the starter and now it starts up ( only tried it 3x) but it still sounds really weak....

any suggestions......im gonna try to start it up again later......does anything have to sit for a while.....i mean it just a starter.......

ot was the starter not my problem at all?? ty for reading........

I would say you have a bad battery, or the wiring is bad, as mueller said.

Do you mean that you can start the car with it in gear and the clutch out, and it doesn't move?

or that you can start it just without pushing the clutch in, with it in neutral, it will start right up? If so, that is because when you do a manual swap, if you don't wire up the neutral safety switch, the car will behave like that. Either wire it in or get used to it. I did a long time ago.

If the starter is sounding "weak" then you most likely have a failing battery.... Test it and let us know
