I'm riding to Rutgers Univerisity, for anyone that is in the know in Jersey, arriving to Busch campus, doing a good 90 on Route 18.
As I leave, I'm so focused on the front, that I wasn't able to catch a deer to my left.
Thank god I swerved right, and was able to miss it, unfortunately some lady in a 00 mazda 626 hit it right in the middle and the deer ended up dead in the middle of the road. It happened to fast and it seemed that the deer out of the blue ran right into the middle of the road.
One of my closest calls good thing I missed it.
I wish I would have taken pictures, but if anyone is around that area would have probably seen the dead carcus.

 

close call you are lucky. i almost had the same thing happen today on my way to work.. except instead of a deer it was some metrosexual dipshit on a cellphone in a white jetta.

you were doing 90 on rt 18??? sounds way too fast. anyways rutgers ftw!!! (im a rutgers newark student)

 

It seems fast and it is, but the road is so straight and curvy, going a little faster makes you a better and more skilled rider. However, it seems that especially in the fall, I see more and more dead deer on the road.

I almost hit a deer driving down my driveway the other day, LOL. I am just not use seeing deer there.

 

Yeah Rutgers did my undergrad there...plenty of nights spent programming at bush/livingston.
good job on avoiding the deer, they are rampant over on those two campuses

90 on rt18 at that part isn't uncommon, now that they basically made it into a superhighway with on/off ramps.

i take it you know the loop between the two campuses

Yeah I am able to bank a consistent 60 throughout the whole turn
and increase after I make the transition from right to left
