Default integra starter question?

Does an ls starter fit in a gsr? Because I went and bought one and the bolts on the starter isnt the same as the one on the gsr so I didnt want to waste my time taking off the gsr starter and trying to see if it fits. if anyone knows help. thanks

If the starter bolts arent in the same place then how will it fit? Are you sure you got the right starter? Is your tranny cable or hydro?

B series starters should all be interchangeable. Maybe not the hydro starter with the cable starter, though.

Which bolts on the starter? there are 5 million of them.

all b series starters ARE NOT interchangeable. i just went over this issue for 2 weeks & bought 4 different starters. not quite sure about your situation as i was trying to get a new one for my ys1 b16 cable trans. best bet is to match it to what your original looks like. the starter is not that difficult to remove

if it mounts up perfectly then i have been told it should work. i never tried it even though i did have one that mounted up. better safe then sorry IMO

See i thought they were all interchangeable as long as its manual or automatic. They did give me a 95 starter. they claimed it was for a manual trans but it could of been for a auto otherwise if its for a ls manual trans then all b series starter are definitely not interchangeable. but now i figured i definitely got a wrong one. gonna go make sure its a gsr starter. i got a 94 gsr and need a 94+ gsr starter. by the way i am looking for a gsr starter too. thanks for the replies

the bolts on the one i got were too close together. The one with the female/male adapter and the bolt where the wire goes on. on the gsr starter the bolts are further apart and the female male adapter is facing the outside of the starter which on the ls was facing the inside.
