Default Your opinion on painting my car please!

What do you guys think of an all matte black DC2? I'm thinking about painting my car flat black all around, including wheels.

I think it would be cool, but I'll tell you what everyone else will tell you- do what you want.

flat black looks awsome, do what YOU want, not what these guys tell you. we're trying to help butthe decision is mainly up to you. i personaly think flat black is bad ***, but if olive green is what u want, then go for it

good luck

i just think the flat colors look like a bad paint job almost. its flat paint with no shiny or gloss to it

flat black cars can look good when profesionally done but on an integra it will be hard to pull off. If you dont have money for a real paint job, then its cool to work with what you can afford. thats why we modify hondas right? lol

i personaly thought the flat black idea was gay till i saw this teggy... looks pretty good, it was semi-professionaly done. flat clear coat is more expensive than normal clear coat, so if u want it, MAKE SURE its what u want.

most people who see it will assume it's just a pile.

imo only exotics can pull it off, and even then, they look better with shiny paint.

reflection is nothing without depth.

not necisarily, because u can tell when a car is flat black, and when its black primer.

u can see some reflection, but it still looks good... i do how ever think gloss black would probably look better than flat, but flat is different, and some people like it.

If your gonna paint your car flat, don't forget to put flat clear on it. And the only downside of having a flat car is that painting it flat doesn't give you any extra points if your gonna sell it in the near future. Your gonna have to paint it back with a gloss.

I had a friend who painted his car matte black and he said it was real easy. The only problem was that i don't think he put any clear coat on it and every day there where another set or two of fingerprints on the car somewhere. Someone even went as far as to take their finger and make a pic of a ***** on there . He painted it a differen't color after that. But like i said, i don't think he put on clear which would have prevented that.

Flat black looks like crap. I hope the only reason you're wanting to paint it flat black is the cost. Which would be about $20 for some DIY spray cans.
