Do the helmets have to be up-to date? or if they are older, but in good condition. can they be used????

 

What's "older?" I believe the oldest helmet allowed currently is M/SA 2000.

 

I was allowed to use my M95

I currently have a SA2000

You probably need to check who you are running with

the latest NASA CCR states:

11.3 Required Safety Equipment - Driver

All participants should utilize equipment that meets or exceeds these minimum
requirements, while driving on track (Note- passenger equipment must meet or exceed these minimum requirements; but do not necessarily have to match the driver’s equipment):

1. Use a proper fitting helmet that meets Snell 1990 (SA1990; M1990) or newer (or
equivalent) standards for cars or motorcycles.

most use nasa and scca rules sa2000 or better.
