i just got my 89 crx dx right and i drove it home and all the lights worked fine then 2 nights ago then i turned on my lights leaving my g/fs house and then the dash lights went out so i was like wtf then i drove it home and yesterday i went and bought some fuses and replaced spot 8, whcih is the instrument lights, licesne plate lights, and the tail lihgts, i put lots of fuses in, tryed to do different things each time nothin really tht would fix it just wanted to see and i blew every time any one know of a common place stuff shorts out at or any way of finding out where the short is?

Check the wiring to the cluster make sure they are contacting the electric strips.

 

so when you plug the antena into the radio it causes that fuse to blow, any ideas on how to get it right?

hmmm thas fuked my car's taillights n instrument lights fuse blew too i tried lots n still cant figure it out i herd it mite be the illumination wire or sumtin but try cleaning ur bulb contacts i did that n it fixed it for the nite but hopefully itll werk longer for u

lol i just pulled out my cd player and they havent blown since, it blew once when i just pushed my cd player a little bit lol
