Default How heavy is a motor?

I'm buying a B18B longblock off my buddy tomorrow and its about a 2 hour drive to go get it. Unfortanately I couldnt find anyone else who could go with us and I'm not sure if just the 2 of us can lift it into the back of the truck or not.

So how much does a complete B18B longblock weigh? The motor is basically complete minus the tranny/clutch/flywheel. Me and my buddy arent really that small (both around 200lbs), should we be able to lift the motor into the truck by ourselves? It would really suck to drive all the way out there and not be able to get the damn motor into the truck!! So let me know what you guys think, I have no idea what they weigh.

And before anyone says it, no I dont have access to a hoist.

Me and my dad have lifted one ourselfs, and I'm not "strong" at all. You should be able to do it.

Yeah you should be good with 3 people. I had 4 of us get it off the delivery truck and into the shop.

I'm 5'11 and 155lbs of pure pain. I can lift a B series off the ground by myself. Carrying it into a car can be done with 2 people pretty easily. They're not too bad. If you cant lift the motor with 2 people, you will probably lose in a fight with a 6 year old girl.

P.S. Will post a picture of me flexing on request.

Your friend needs to eat.

The search seems to indicate that the B18B weighs just over 300 lb without the transmission.
