itr head or rebuild head??
ok so im looking around online and saw the type r head built new for like 1500 wich i work at the dealership so i can get a discount on, then you have the type r parts you can buy to rebuild the head. my question is whats better rebuilding with type r valvetrain or just buying the type r head new with some assembly put together. i have a b17 and was just wondering for the future. so all the type r valvetrain plus machining or type r head built pretty much already??
nothing is wrong witht he head i just know how the itr flows better and has better parts oem. and i would have to have mine machined and parts put in so im just trying to think which is better

I think you know where the front office is.
Aloha,
Since you mentioned you have a b17 then I assume you have a PR3 head. It's the same head the ITRs use.
just rebuild it.. make sure you get a three angle valve job..
buying OEM ITR or Aftermarket valvetrain parts will be decided by you.
If you would like to have your head "flow better" like dood said.
then just get your bowls cleaned up like the ITR heads have.
Good luck
