I finally got my 3/4" rear sway bar in today since my order from Neuspeed on July 14th. I put my CR-X Si black powdercoated lower control arms on and then started to put my sway bar on and found an issue that apparently Neuspeed doesn't even know about. I have the Neuspeed rear lower tie bar mounted on the car. Where the sway bar mounts, it wants to sit where the tie bar is, so it is impossible to use both the rear lower tie bar and the sway bar. I called Neuspeed and talked to one of their representatives and he told me to send him some pictures of the problem and the interfering parts. I have nothing else modified to the suspension, stock springs, stock ride height. I took pictures and sent them to the rep at Neuspeed and he told me that the engineer who could tell me what was up was not there today so he would call me back. I didn't recieve a call back today so I just removed the rear tie bar so I could install my sway bar. Just wondering if anyone has come across this before and if they did what did you do, I don't want to just have a part that is now useless. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to make parts that don't work together from the same company for the same car without a stated warning from the manufacturer that the parts do not work together. The car is a 1990 DX hatchback.

even with the suspension loaded the sway bar sits where the tie bar is, I installed it and there is no way the tie bar and sway bar can exist together on the car.

Sorry to hear that bro, But now to the bar...Does it feel that much better with that rear...I have to put a rear bar on my 1990 STD then have an exhaust shop run me a new exhaust...I am leaning towards the Progress or the ST B/C I have LCA with no holes for sway bar end links...

the difference is huge, even without a lowered car, turn in is much better, the rear stays planted and doesn't give you the weird "hunting" feeling when going fast into a turn. Plus the car has less tendancy to understeer, I will eventually tune out the remaining understeer when I lower the car.

No its the right one, they didn't have any in stock anymore so I had to wait for them to make one from scratch. The guy I talked to from Neuspeed said they haven't seen much of a request for that part number for quite some time so they no longer make them in any great quantity, more an as ordered basis.
thats a nice looking rear swaybar!
is that the OEM bracket too? looks so different painted... much better.
what do the endlinks look like?
please take a pic fully installed.
its too bad ppl dont order these much. maybe its because they are so overpriced compared to suspension techniques. but the fit looks SO much better. im going to have recommend Neuspeed from now on.

I'll get a pic of it installed by friday, only reason is I can get a better one when I drive my car to work and can take pictures of it standing up under a lift rather than laying down under the car. The fit minus the whole issue with the tie bar interfering is great, like stock. the endlinks are two heim joints that bolt together. The bracket is not oem, it comes with the swaybar as well as all new hardware, endlinks, d-brackets and bushings and grease. In order to mount the new brackets, you have to remove the rear tow hooks. The Neuspeed brackets use both of the oem bracket holes and one of the tow hook bracket holes. The bracket is larger than the oem one and looks to be significantly stronger.
thats awesome to hear about neuspeed also giving a new bracket.
yeah, id rather wait for pics on a lift. but how about both so i can see how it rests at ride height.
btw, did you buy just the rear? or both front and rear? last i checked, they only sold it in a set. maybe thats why ppl dont buy em. (and again, i think theyre more expensive than ST)

looks like they were trying to avoid the same issue st has with their rear sway bars, but they ended up putting it too close to the frame and didnt take into account about someone using a tie brace. this set-up is just like the st setup.

I bought the front sway bar in 2002 and I just got the rear sway bar so I know they sell them individually. I liked the quality of the Neuspeed products as I own their front upper tie bar, front sway bar, rear upper tie bar, rear sway bar, rear lower tie bar, short shifter and spark plug wires for my 90 hatch. I also have a Cusco front lower tie bar because Neuspeed doesn't make one of those. As far as price goes I think I paid around $200 for the front sway bar and the rear was like $420 shipped.
I'll get some pictures of it on the ground and then lifted for ya on friday.

wow yeah, its $240 shipped for the both ST bars. no wonder no one buys them.
it looks like a nice piece tho. i like neuspeed quality, at least their front upper strut bar.
i have a mugen 22mm rear bar. non adjustable, but fits like stock
im jealous of the bracket tho. it uses stock and it could use some reinforcement.
