Default Oh Crap ... Gas pedal Way too light ...

Well ... After several months of very aggravating idle problems due to the throttle cable bracket not closing back all the way, I decided today I was going to end my idle issues ... Of course I checked all the norms, even searched for solutions, but nothing really even came close to my problem ... so, I set out and take apart this bracket, only to end up bending a tab back that seems to smack close a valve when the gas pedal is fully disengaged ... Pics are damn near impossible ... only one I have are in a back post ... I link to that later ... but After I bent this tab back so it wouldn't smack the valve, My idle issues went bye bye, but my gas pedal is so light, so responsive, so sensitive, im afraid I might have messed up something ... what could cause the gas pedal to go light ? Ive adjusted the cable every which way possible, still feather light pedal ... no matter what ... my pedal is light as crap ... so light Ive started to ride my clutch on accident ....

Yea there is a spring that hooks to the actual pedal which will give you resistance, it pulls the pedal back.

kinda the same thing happened to me on my old blazer. the cruise control cable and throttle cables were reversed at the throttle body. it made the pedal really hard to push initially. when i finally figured out the problem and fixed it i spun the tires everytime i took off. it just takes awhile to get used to

yea, Ive actually been riding the clutch a little now because of this ... kinda sucks, but Ima switch it out I guess, I like a little stiffness in the pedal ... not too much though ... Thanks guys for the input !
